Justin and Kristin: Denver Engagement Session

I talk about how much I love engagement sessions all the time and for a variety of reasons. I really do think they are great. For me personally, I love the opportunity and time to get to know my couples.

So it was with Justin and Kristin. Turns out they, like me, love food. Walking around downtown Denver, we stumbled upon this common interest and I have to admit I learned more than I gave. My favorite takeaway? Jax Fish House. Sadly, I’d never heard of it before but now it’s on my list of places to visit.

Oh, and we also took pictures. 🙂

Justin has a way of making Kristin glow that was incredible to watch. You can see it in her smile. She has the ‘smile for the camera’ smile, but then she has the ‘Justin made me smile’ smile. Both smiles are beautiful, to be sure, but the latter has that little something extra showing how much these two are in love…

Beaver Creek Wedding: Erik and Nadia

Nadia and Erik had one of our favorite engagement sessions. (Which we were excited to have featured on Couture Colorado. In case you missed it you can find it here or check out our own post here, if you’d like!) We were really looking forward to the actual wedding day in Beaver Creek. It was a perfect summer day in a gorgeous setting with a beautiful bride… what’s not to love?

Their wedding was set to be amazing right from the start. I remember talking with Nadia on the phone while she was still in Arizona, 10 months before the wedding, and I was already a little giddy about what she was planning. I could hear the excitement in her voice and loved her ideas.

Fast forward to the big day and it. was. gorgeous! The story was almost overwhelming to tell. Erik and Nadia are both incredible people. Even on their wedding day, they were both aware and concerned about their friends and family, laughing with and loving on everyone around. It was a wedding celebration that was easy to be swept up in.

The details from this wedding are amazing. I had a really hard time narrowing down the pictures to use… sorry to make such a long blog post!

This last one is just for fun. If you not sure what’s going on, it’s my reflection in the glass door while I’m shooting a picture of the ceremony inside. 🙂

Special thanks to Jessica McTaggart and Pink Champaign Events who coordinated the day beautifully! Check out her site and follow her on Facebook! Also, Vista at Arrowhead was a gorgeous backdrop for the reception and wonderful to work with!

Caleb & Winnie: Engagement Session With An Adorable Puppy

Caleb and Winnie were looking for the quintessential Colorado background for their engagement session… so naturally we took to the mountains in search of evergreens and snow. The mountains did not disappoint. We found a cool little area with some great light just a little off the beaten path.

Moments later we were braving the cold, chasing the puppy, and stomping through snow, all the while grabbing great moments really capture all that makes Caleb and Winnie’s relationship so special. These two are great together and so easy to photograph. They play, they laugh, then they snuggle… my job was super easy. 🙂

And as if the two of them weren’t cute enough, they brought their newest addition. This little puppy was adorable. You’ll see… 🙂
