Denver Wedding Photographer: Tricia and Richard

It was coooold!

…but still beautiful.

Tricia and Richard were married at the YMCA of the Rockies outside Estes Park on New Year’s day. Let’s just get this out of the way, it got down to 50 below with the windchill once the sun set. Now, I didn’t have a thermometer on me but that’s what I was told. At first, I thought that sounded a bit extreme. Then I was outside at 11pm in the wind. It was painful.

Bravo to Tricia and Richard, though, for braving the weather for a few fun outdoor shots! In fact, the whole bridal party was up to the task. I have to admit, it was a first for me. We planned all the poses indoors. We numbered them for reference. Then we ran outside and got them done. We were pretty efficient!

The ceremony was beautiful. We had a packed house with views of the mountains all around as the sun was setting. I feel so blessed to be a wedding photographer in Colorado…
