I’m not sure where to start. When I think of this whole destination wedding experience I have old school, batman style graphics in pop up in my head with words like: Amazing! Incredible! Wow! Spectacular! and Gorgeous!
At some point, I’ll have to post a blog on why I’m completely converted and believe that destination weddings are one of the greatest ideas ever. There’s so much more to them than just being in a beautiful place for a wedding. That happens all over Colorado. Destination weddings, like this one in Mexico, have something truly unique about them.
In fact, there’s so much to this wedding, that I decided it would be best to share it in multiple parts. This is part one. 🙂
The wedding was at Now Jade, a resort in a little village called Puerto Morelos, just between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Naturally, it was beautiful.
Day 2 was the rehearsal, after which, Nicole and Gabe took the bridal party to one of their favorite restaurants in Playa Del Carmen. It’s a little place called Casa Mediterranea. If you happen to be on 5th in Playa… check it out. It’s a beautiful place with amazing food and wonderful owners.
While we were in Playa, we slipped away, just for a moment, to grab some pictures. With these two, that’s all it takes. 🙂 You can tell how naturally they fit together just by looking at them.
Playa Del Carmen is pretty significant to both Gabe and Nicole – which is partly why they wanted to have a destination wedding in the area. I love it when we can combine a beautiful location with meaning… it makes the pictures even more special!
This next one we posted on our Facebook page, but I love so much I had to share it twice!
