Wow… it was hot outside. Super hot… but totally worth it to hang out with my cousin, Sammy, back in Phoenix and shoot her engagement session with her fiance, Rich.
It was my first time to meet Rich. He’s a great guy and obviously makes Sammy very happy – which, of course, makes me happy. 🙂 They share a strong passion and direction and I’m excited to see where it takes the two of them. I could also tell how much they love to have fun together, as evidenced by the somewhat impromptu Thumb-Wrestling session. The jury is still out on the winner, though – rumor is that Rich cheats.
Sammy and Rich chose a place called Shenandoah Mill in Gilbert that apparently plays host to a lot of weddings. I can totally see why. It’s a quaint little mill tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood. I don’t have a lot of ‘mill’ experience (or really even know what one is) so I was pretty excited to check it out. I love what we got. Sammy’s ring shot (on facebook) is one of my favorites and the light on the covered path was gorgeous.
