This wedding was gorgeous. Gorgeous and huge and a lot of fun. For a bride who put so much thought into the details, Lori was completely laid back and amazing to work with! I was very impressed. The ceremony took place along the water at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in the Denver Tech Center. Here’s my top 5 things from the day:
1. Lori’s Shoes. So cool. They were blue. I’m sure they’re not really blue, but rather some specific kind of blue that only girls are aware of. Whatever kind of blue it was, it tied perfectly into the same blue found all over the wedding.
2. The Wedding Party. Huge. You’ll see what I mean in the pictures. I love big wedding parties because there’s a lot you can do with them. Both the guys and the girls were fabulous to work with.
3. Golf Balls. There’s a family tradition of all the bridesmaids handing the groom something as they walk down the aisle. I think in the past spoons have been used. This time it was golf balls. What made it especially fun was the number of bridesmaids. That meant for too many golf balls for Brandon to hold. So he passed them down the line. Then they were thrown into the lake. Gotta love tradition.
4. The Bride and Groom Creative Portraits. I really love the pictures we got from this wedding of Brandon and Lori. I always try to talk the Bride and Groom into taking 20-30 minutes out of the reception and sneaking away from some pictures at sunset. This is what happens!
5. Suspenders. Sweet for pictures. Also, they gave Brandon a continual wedgie… which I found funny.
